There is a long history of growing grapes in the Coughton Valley stretching back to the Romans who first terraced the banks where the Castle Brook vineyard now lies.

The south facing slopes and thin slightly acidic soil are perfect for growing the Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes required to produce the finest fizz.
