We use a combination of traditional methods and good fundamental technology to minimise the impact on the environment in this area of outstanding natural beauty. We aim to produce residue free asparagus, only using herbicides and pesticides when absolutely necessary. To back this up we package our naturally grown asparagus in 100% starch based non-GM compostable MaterBi bags. (http://www.materbi.com).

The asparagus plant is native to the UK and loves to grow in the sandy sheltered fields found in our old River Wye meander valley near Ross-on-Wye. We plant the southern facing slopes for some of the earliest, and the north facing slopes for some of the latest English asparagus available. Spears are harvested every morning and immediately cooled, packed and delivered to maintain sweetness and flavour.
