Our first crop of asparagus was planted in spring 2003, which gave a small harvest in 2004 and its first full harvest in 2005. We have planted additional areas every year since then and have now grown to be one of the UK’s largest asparagus growers.

Our high tech asparagus grading and packing facility was built for the 2005 season. We first wash and cool our asparagus immediately after harvest to lock in the freshness. Our computer controlled grading and packing lines allow us to efficiently offer a highly consistent and beautifully presented end product to our customers. For more information please see the 'Facilities' page.

Through the application science and innovation we are now able to supply premium ‘Wye Valley’ asparagus from February until October. We also have availability of organic and purple asparagus.

The majority of the crop is destined for sale in supermarkets (Cobrey is sole supplier of M&S's UK asparagus) and wholesale markets, but we are also interested in expanding our supply in to local outlets, including shops and restaurants.
